I'm an seasoned HR professional with 16+ years of experience, mainly working in the fashion and art industries. I started my career learning the fundamentals at larger organizations, like Gap Inc, and the second half of my career has been focused on being the first Head of HR at companies, helping them grow and building out the HR function from the ground up.
Sidra Castor has an exceptional background developing HR programs for the fashion and art industries. Sidra began her career in recruiting at Gap Inc. and made the jump to HR Talent Specialist at Sotheby’s. From there Sidra spent a formative half decade as rag & bone’s first HR hire and then became the Senior Manager of HR at Stella McCartney and Alexander McQueen, where she oversaw HR in the US. Sidra relocated to Los Angeles where she served as the Director of HR at Vince. As Carbon38’s first HR Sr. Director, she draws from her background supporting organizational growth, building people-focused programs, and creating processes from scratch. At r&b Sidra helped grow the company from 50 employees/four stores to 400 employees and 20+ stores. At Carbon38 Sidra has rolled out many firsts including the company’s first performance dialogue process and accompanying trainings and high potential employee retention programs.
